Good News!
What is news? Is news what we hear on TV or read in the newspaper? I imagine most people know about the Super Bowl Sunday night because that event has been on the “news.” Everyone knows about the balloon, and now two more objects, shot down over the United States or Canada because every news channel is covering it. But have you heard about a revival in Wilmore, KY at Asbury University? Have you heard that this revival is spreading to other places? Now that is good news! Have you heard about the lives being transformed? In the grand scheme of history, the news being broadcast about a football game and even national affairs, though relevant, will not have an eternal effect like the revival will have on the lives of people. I thank God for this good news. God has won the victory for us. Our enemy has been defeated. With all the distractions and events trying to capture our attention, do not miss the eternal events, the God events, the thrilling events happening all around us that will not be covered by the secular news. Be encouraged and joyful. God is on the move. Praise Him!
