What is Good about Good Friday

On this day God made peace with everyone in the world.  Every offence, every injustice, every sin, every wrong, every conflict was settled.  Not only did God forgive but that forgiveness was paid for on the cross with the blood of Jesus.  Jesus paid the debt for everyone, once and for all time.  Reconciliation is possible because the debt for any offence is already paid. Every personal offence in your life and in my life has been settled.  If you carry an offence, you are denying the cross.  If you hold a grudge or refuse to forgive you are denying the cross.  Jesus said if you do not forgive you will not be forgiven.  Your sin, injustice, offence is not your problem to resolve it is God’s problem and He has dealt with it.  God did not send Jesus so you can have justice but so He can have justice.  You cannot bring justice.  Only God can bring justice and he had brought justice on the cross.  So, today we have reconciliation.  We have peace.  This is Good Friday because of the peace and reconciliation God has accomplished on the cross.  Be at peace today because of what Christ did for you.
