We are excited to announce the date and plans for this years Unity Banquet.  We are following the theme for this years camp meeting, titled "We Have Hope".  So our banquet will be themed "Hope".  We need to make this the biggest banquet yet, so please make plans to attend with your spouse and all of your leaders and their spouse.  This year we had to make it on a Saturday Night, so we will try to start a little earlier and get out earlier.…

Congratulations to Meredith for completing Leadership Focus to fulfill her calling to be an ordained minister in the Church of God.  Cooper was licensed and will complete Leadership Focus in one year.  They serve as New Generation pastor and Student pastor at Fairview - The Grace Place.  Fairview and Alabama are fortunate to have this dedicated and gifted couple serving with us. Nathan and Todd knocked it out of the park at camp meeting. The worship was inspiring and the preaching relevant and engaging.  Thanks to Jeremy Bozle for the shrimp boil Friday night.  I came away from camp meeting refreshed and inspired.  Thanks to camp meeting team for putting together one of the best camp meetings.

I have just returned from Gridiron Men’s Conference in Huntsville sponsored by Phil Waldrep Ministries.  This year’s conference marks the twelfth year of Gridiron Men’s Conferences.  Gridiron is the one event I will not miss.  Imagine being in a huge arena with thousands of men praising God together and hearing speakers and testimonies that are relevant, inspirational and spirit filled.       I thought why are our Alabama Church of God pastors not bringing men to Gridiron.  It is close, affordable, and powerful.  Churches from all over south east had buses of…

Unimaginable tragedy struck Uvalde, Texas on May 24.   Twenty-one Innocent, helpless, beautiful lives were violently destroyed.  We are angry, we grieve and pray for the families.  What can be done to protect our most vulnerable from the most evil in our world?  Jesus confronted evil and healed it.  When he visited the area of the Gerasenes he found a community enduring an evil man who could not be controlled or tamed.  Jesus cast out the demons that were tormenting the man and community and left them all at peace.  As more information…

I met a young man this week who is originally from France but is now living in Alabama.  He is a minster and a graduate of a well know bible college.  He told me about his faith journey, his wife and family.  God has used him in significant ways for the Kingdom of God.  As I was telling him about the Church of God in Alabama, I mentioned that our camping season was coming in June.  He told me, “I was saved at a camp very similar to your camps.”  I…
